Privacy policy

This policy applies to our shop at shop.massvoll.swiss. For everything else, the privacy policy of MASS-VOLL! applies.

Platform

The shop runs on Shopify. Shopify International Limited in Dublin (Ireland) receives your data and passes it on to its parent company Shopify Inc. (Canada) and to service providers, including in the USA. The Federal Council has decided that Ireland and Canada, where the federal PIPEDA applies, provide an adequate level of protection (Art. 16 para. 1 of the Federal Act on Data Protection, FADP). Within the group, binding corporate rules also apply (Art. 16 para. 2 let. e FADP). For the service providers, we rely on Shopify’s terms.

Orders and payment

For an order, we process your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number (if provided), the items, amounts and payment method for the following purposes:

Processing: handling your order and notifying you by email;
Shipping: Swiss Post receives your name and delivery address;
Payment: the payment services offered in the shop receive the information they need;
Accounting.

Cookies

Shopify sets cookies from your first visit, including for statistics and marketing. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser (Art. 45c let. b of the Telecommunications Act, TCA).

Measurement and advertising

The shop uses Google Analytics 4, the Google tag and Google Merchant Center (Google LLC) as well as the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) for statistics and advertising. Google and Meta receive your IP address, information about your browser and device, and your steps in the shop up to the purchase. When you buy, they may also receive your email address, name, phone number and address, Meta also directly from Shopify. Both are based in the USA and certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the Federal Council recognises as adequate (Art. 16 para. 1 FADP).

Through the shop, you only receive our newsletter if you tick the box for it at checkout. We then add your email address to Mailchimp, a service of The Rocket Science Group LLC, a subsidiary of Intuit Inc. (USA); both are also certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link.

Retention

Under the statutory bookkeeping obligation, we keep orders, invoices and payment records for ten years from the end of the financial year (Art. 958f of the Code of Obligations, CO), and other data for as long as its purpose or the law requires.

Your rights

Within the limits of the law, you can request access to, correction, deletion and delivery of your data, and object to its processing (Art. 25, 28, 30 and 32 FADP). You can withdraw consent at any time. Write to shop@massvoll.swiss. You can lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC): www.edoeb.admin.ch.
